Who is affected? Who are the stakeholders?
Everybody is affected somehow by my disinformation, but it primarily targets internet users. People who have poor media literacy skills are less likely to check if information read online is true, and take it at face value. People who are emotionally vulnerable, elderly people and children, and people who are unfamiliar with technology are most likely to fall for misinformation. The people who use misinformation as a tool to spread lies are most commonly politicians, but conspiracy theorists, naturopaths, fortune tellers, or similar people who want to take advantage of others also spread misinformation.
